Let’s Get This bread
Insight
Whether you’re formerly incarcerated, a blue collar worker, or a CEO, everyone is connected by and has a place in grind culture.
Idea
Eat the bread that champions everyone out here grinding.
The daily grind rally cry
Hustlers often utilize public transit on their way to the grind, so we strategically placed our ads at bus stops, subway stations, and wherever there is foot traffic to motivate commuters daily to get their bread.
Un-cancel culture
DKB was founded by Dave Dahl, a formerly incarcerated baker who spent 15+ years behind bars. DKB has always believed in Second Chance Employment and ⅓ of employees are formerly incarcerated hustlers who have turned their lives around. One could say second chance’s is the secret ingredient to DKB’s success. Via powerful social media storytelling, DKB will recognize employees who have worked hard and are savoring their second chance at Dave’s Killer Bread.
Dave’s Killer Pod
In the style of Midnight Gospel, Dave’s Killer Pod highlights public figures and normal people alike that are out here grinding and overcoming obstacles. They’ll discuss how they got a second chance at life and what they’re doing with it to provide motivation to all who listen.
Get in your bag
Music holds a special place in grind culture, providing the motivation to conquer each day like nothing else can. We’re giving people the tunes along with the grains necessary for them to tackle each day and get their bread.
lunch break bread
We bring free sandwiches and motivational tunes, from our Grind SZN playlist, in our DKB food truck to the Ford Factory, Amazon warehouses, and other blue collar workplaces to pump up and power those who are out here grinding.
Let’s get this Merch
Regardless of who you are or what you do, we’ve all gotta grind in our own way. To celebrate and assist the every(wo)man on their grind, we’re partnering with Studio Cult to bring merch and accessories inspired by those on a mission to get their bread. 25% of proceeds goes to the DKB Foundation to support Second Chance Employment.
